Lauryn joined the Legal Network staff in April 2014.

At the Legal Network, Lauryn is responsible for community outreach and media relations, including writing news releases and communiqués and managing all social media accounts. Lauryn responds to inquiries from the public and the press, and maintains the database of national and international journalists with an interest in issues of concern to the Legal Network.

Previously, Lauryn worked in communications, outreach and program administration roles at the Canadian AIDS Society, the Stephen Lewis Foundation, Canada Council for the Arts and the Loran Scholar Program. After completing her studies, Lauryn worked at a newspaper in Zambia as a media trainer and journalist through Journalists for Human Rights.

She served as a member on the board of directors of Pride Toronto and Capital Pride in Ottawa. She has worked as a freelance journalist for publications in Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto.

Lauryn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Interdisciplinary Studies in Sexuality from Concordia University and a Certificate in International Journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
