{"id":23076,"date":"2022-11-29T13:08:53","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T18:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/?post_type=blog22&#038;p=23076"},"modified":"2023-01-20T13:14:51","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T18:14:51","slug":"government-of-canada-consultation-on-hiv-criminalization","status":"publish","type":"blog22","link":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/government-of-canada-consultation-on-hiv-criminalization\/","title":{"rendered":"GOVERNMENT OF CANADA CONSULTATION ON HIV CRIMINALIZATION"},"content":{"rendered":"On October 20, 2022, the Government of Canada announced the start of their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/department-justice\/news\/2022\/10\/reforming-the-criminal-law-regarding-hiv-non-disclosure-government-of-canada-launches-public-consultation.html\"><strong>consultation<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on HIV criminalization, as Canada finally looks to reform the misguided and harmful law on HIV non-disclosure in this country. The Canadian Coalition to Reform HIV Criminalization (CCRHC), welcomes this consultation \u2013 a first step, we hope, to concrete action on law reform.
