These seven laws (the \u201claws under consideration\u201d) are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the \u201cLaw on prevention, care and control of HIV\/AIDS\u201d (No. 2005-31 of 5 April 2006) in Benin;<\/li>\n<li>the \u201cLaw on prevention, care and control of HIV\/AIDS\u201d (No. 2005-25) in Guinea;<\/li>\n<li>the \u201cFramework law relating to the prevention, treatment and control of HIV\/AIDS\u201d in Guinea-Bissau;<\/li>\n<li>the \u201cLaw establishing rules relating to the prevention, care and control of HV\/AIDS\u201d (No. 06-28 of 29 June 2006) in Mali;<\/li>\n<li>the \u201cLaw relating to the prevention, care and control of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)\u201d (No. 2007-08 of 30 April 2007) in Niger;<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe Prevention and Control of HIV and AIDS Act (2007) in Sierra Leone; and<\/li>\n<li>the \u201cLaw on the protection of people with respect to HIV\/AIDS\u201d (No. 2005-012) in Togo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This paper also considers and provides comments on the model legislation on which these laws were based, the N\u2019Djamena model legislation on HIV\/AIDS (2004).<br \/>\n<p class=\"download-link-button\"><a class=\"download-link en\" title=\"A human rights analysis of the N\u2019Djamena model legislation on AIDS and HIV-specific legislation in Benin, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone and Togo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/download\/11249\/?tmstv=1777447019\" rel=\"nofollow\">\r\n\tDownload<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"menu_order":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"publication_topics":[148],"publication_type":[179],"publication_language":[184],"class_list":["post-113","publication22","type-publication22","status-publish","hentry","publication_topics-criminalization","publication_type-reports","publication_language-english"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publication22\/113","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publication22"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/publication22"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"version-history":[{"count":8,"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publication22\/113\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":21027,"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publication22\/113\/revisions\/21027"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=113"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"publication_topics","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publication_topics?post=113"},{"taxonomy":"publication_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publication_type?post=113"},{"taxonomy":"publication_language","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hivlegalnetwork.ca\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publication_language?post=113"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
